Review: The Parent Trap
The Parent Trap!
The parent trap is one of the best movies released in the 90’s,
and just about every girl has seen it. Featuring a young Lindsey Lohan, the
film follows two identical twin sisters, who were both raised by one of their
parents after they split when the girls were babies. After a chance meeting at
summer camp, the girls plot a daring plan to bring their parents back together –
switch places!
At the end of summer camp, Halley takes Annie’s place and
goes to London to meet her mother (Natasha Richardson), and Annie flies to
California to meet her father (Dennis Quaid). After perfectly faking being the
fake child, the twins realise that Nick (the father) is getting married, and
hasten to bring their parents to San Francisco to finally reunite, although
things don’t go as planned when they find out Nick’s pretentious fiancée (played
by Elaine Hendrix) is only marrying Nick for his money. With the whole family
converged at a hotel in San Fran, the twins plan begins to unravel in a clever
and interesting way.

A funny and all-time favourite movie of mine, the parent
trap enraptures the daring minds of kids and the foolish action of two adults when
it comes to love and family.
Definitely give this a watch! 5 stars!
